Checking Your Crown is a signature initiative under the My Brother’s & Sister’s Keeper (MBSK) umbrella designed to empower young girls. This program encourages girls to fully embrace their femininity while building the tools and mindset needed to become self-sufficient, confident, and community-minded leaders. Through mentorship, skill-building workshops, cultural exploration, and open conversations, participants learn to celebrate who they are without apology, build emotional strength, recognize their voice, balance grace and grit, and prepare to thrive independently in school, career, and life. Importantly, Checking Your Crown also fosters a healthy understanding of coexistence with a significant other, reinforcing that independence and partnership are not opposites. This initiative guides girls in exploring what it means to be self-assured while building meaningful, respectful relationships. It’s not just about self-care — it's about self-worth.
